Okay, I think I have done this image enough times. I am going to stop now with this Prisma pencil drawing. I wanted to write a haiku about this drawing, but I think I won't. I will instead think about how being a self-taught artist put the academy in peril. Anyway, here is a section from a poem by Ronnie Bennet:
But inside this old carcass a young girl still dwells,
and now and again my battered heart swells.
I remember the joys, I remember the pain,
and I'm loving and living life over again.

I very much like to paint. I wonder what my work would be if I had gone to art school? I feel sad when I thnk that every old lady I see is going to die.

some painters are still
going to be the kind of person
who paints the

old lady run over by
a lunatic on the evening news
and feels nothing for her
